Benjamin Stefanski, best known by his recording alias Raffertie, is a British composer and producer. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, he studied Classical & Contemporary Music Composition at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
He received initial acclaim for his experimental electronic recordings, released via seminal imprint Planet Mu and championed by Mary Anne Hobbs, signing to Ninja Tune. His debut artist album ‘Sleep Of Reason’ was critically lauded by The Wire, Pitchfork and Drowned In Sound.
